Saul Fletcher is my new artist of the moment. Why you ask? Well I have been paying attention to him because I love his work and hope to have one in the collection some day, but what really bowled me over was his notice in September’s Modern Painters where he mentions, after having a very successful photography career, that he is going to start painting.

"I’ve come to the end of something in myself. I’m going to try painting. I might just wash them off, but I want to struggle again. I want my limp back. Give me a clubfoot."
