It’s Summer!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I’ve been sliding into the summer schedule. So what does that mean?? Well here’s my list of what I’m going to do (or hope to do) this summer vacation:

1. Surf more.

2. On July 14th I play my first ever World Series of Poker event in Vegas. Yes I’m going for a bracelet. If I do well in that event I might even take a shot at the main event.

3. Still trying to talk Mrs. OC Art Blog into going to Santa Fe to see the Site Santa Fe Biennial. I’ve never been to New Mexico.

4. Currently training to do the Long Beach 1/2 Marathon. Just ran 6 miles on Sunday and lived to tell the tale….barely.

5. And let’s not forget that London based artist Natasha Caruana opens her show Facing East at The Office on July 8th. It’s the must see show of the summer if I do say so myself.

6. Oh, and I turn 40 in August. Life as I know it is over….or is 40 really the new 30??

    Don’t forget the Kurt Wold – Perpetual Motion show at the HB Art Center. Kurt gave a great talk with slides Friday night and the show is one of the best mounted at the center.
