Ran up to Culver City on Saturday to pick up our new Robert Olsen painting from Susanne Vielmetter and catch a couple of quick shows before they came down. Two are highly recommended but they’ll probably be taken down by the time you read this. The Cristoph Draeger video/installation at Susanne Vielmetter was haunting and the Chloe Piene drawing show at Sandroni.Rey was solid. Her drawings in the last Whitney Biennial were one of the highlights for me and these ones were even better. Great show.

Next we headed up to Long Beach to catch the Christine Nguyen show at Enview Gallery. Great show as expected and it was great to see Christine and chat with Chloe and Autumn. We also walked over to Koo’s to catch their Monster Mash and ended up picking up a couple of pieces by artist Tom Neely. Fun was had by all. Some photos follow:
