Cracked Actor

Cracked Actor

The last time I had done any acting in any theatrical production was when I got the coveted lead role of Santa Claus in my 3rd Grade holiday play, after peaking so early I thought it was time to hang it up….until today.

Homecoming My friend Tristan Byrne who is a filmmaker asked me a couple of months back if I would be interested in participating in a production he was putting together. Some of you in the local area might remember some of Tristan’s work if you were at the Newport Beach Film Festival in 2004 and caught Homecoming: The Forgotten World of America’s Orphanages. Well it turns out Tristan’s passion is a good old horror flick and he asked me if I would be willing to play a cop in his new independent horror film titled Something in the Basement, of course I said yes! I’m especially excited because I get killed. Yeah, lots of blood and stuff.

Well today was the first day of shooting some of my initial scenes and what a blast I had. This is going to be a lot of fun….stressful….but a lot of fun. Anyway, I think I did pretty good today and my next call isn’t til October but I’m sure you’ll hear more about this as it goes along. Some photos follow:

Sb1 The creepy house

Sb2 Actor Grub

Sb3 Make-up time….can you do something about that bald spot?? Do I look like a cop?

Sb4 I’m on the case!

Sb5 Does she look like someone that might have a hand in my death?

Sb6 Quiet on the set!

Sb8 More filming.
