Tell us about your work?   I have been painting feverishly since before finishing Grad school at CSUF in 1997. Majoring in printmaking (later painting…), I tend to do paintings in series. My longest running body of work would be my “Slumscapes:” paintings of third-world slums. These culminated from travels to countries like India, Bangladesh, Peru, Indonesia, the Philipinnes, Kenya, Brazil, etc. I’ve also created series of deserts (with debris), post-apocalyptic ruins (usually of Disneyland), fallen freeways, cartoon collage/abstractions. I’m presently working on a post-traumatic vision of Las Vegas and have started adding figures into my slumscapes.   What Artists...

In a big blow to OCMA, Elizabeth Armstrong is leaving.Does this have anything to do with the rumors on the street that Director Dennis Szakacs is "difficult" to work with? Has anybody actually kept track of the turnover that has been going on at the Museum? All this while the Museum is planning it's move to the Performing Arts Center. It will be interesting to see if they'll be able to replace Ms. Armstrong who was instrumental over the last several years of putting OCMA...
