I've discovered over the last several months that gallery owners are a sensitive lot. I use to think artists owned the market on insecurity (justifiably so) but I now believe gallerists own the title. No wonder artists and gallery people have a hard time getting along. The battle of insecurities. It seems the Smart Money is starting to take a closer look at the market and that means the swing will move back to the established artist. which really means everything Will start slowing. The sheep...

Nice space with some progressive programming so I'm sure you'll be hearing more about them soon. After that we jammed across town to catch the Impression/Ism show at the Brea Gallery. We then headed over to the Godfather of the local scene's gallery and also attempted to say hi to  Sue Greenwood but neither Sue or Peter were working on this sunny Saturday. Then we headed over to OCMA to catch Landscape Confection without the opening night crowds. There is one painting there by Michael Raedecker that's worth the trip alone. But the rest...

Ran over to Boxed 2.1 at The Beall to catch KnifeandFork's 5 'til 12 exhibit before it came down. It had something to do with evolutionary algorithms & game theory but that stuff makes me think of math, and even though I'm officially in the tech industry, math sucks. Although there was one dude who talked about his sweet Honda Civic with flames that was pretty funny. Some bad photos follow: Mrs. OCArtBlog listening in. The Beall has great snacks...
