Attended the Laguna Art Museum Annual Auction tonight and had a great time. It's always fun to watch the bidding wars. We won two out of the five or so we were in. Ran up to Culver City on Saturday to pick up our new Robert Olsen painting from Susanne Vielmetter and catch a couple of quick shows before they came down. Two are highly recommended but they'll probably be taken down by the time you read this. The Cristoph Draeger video/installation at Susanne Vielmetter was haunting and the Chloe Piene drawing show at Sandroni.Rey was solid. Her drawings in the last Whitney Biennial were one of the highlights for me and these ones were even better. Great...
