The OC Art Blog was created in 2004 as a way to build community and promote the marginalized but dynamic Orange County art scene.

Mrs. OC Art Blog and I ventured up to San Francisco this weekend to catch the opening of a new commission by Paul Paiement hosted by husband and wife gallery owners Heather Marx & Steve Zavattero. We also caught the Olafur Eliasson show at SFMOMA and the Dark Matters show and the Joachim Schmid exhibit at Yerba Buena. Not sure if there's anything happening in OC this weekend and that's fine because I'm headed to San Francisco to catch Paul Paiement unveil a new work in a collectors home via Heather Marx Gallery. There's a great new opportunity for OC artists to get some $$$$. The Orange County Art Grant sponsored by the Downtown Santa Ana Business Council will award cash to Artists that have any association with Orange County in anyway. All mediums considered. Well folks. The time has come for the final opening at the space we have been in for 4.5 years. So I expect to see you all here to say goodbye to our little slice of heaven. This Saturday night from 6-9pm re-Perspective will open. Curated by Chloe Flores & Autumn Beck re-Perspective will feature Audrey Chan, Gioj De Marco, Ana Teresa Fernandez, Robert Hollister, Yucef Merhi, Seth Price & Greg Santos.
