I wrote a while back how Surf Art is hot and getting hotter. Well, there's one more Surf Art Gallery opening in OC and their first show will open this Sat. night. Featured artists will be Ricky Blake, Joe Curren (brother of Tom) and Dave Hobrecht. Ran down to the Huntington Beach Art Center tonight to catch the MANufactured show. Great show in a great space. Tyler over at MAN points out that it's Art Fair time again and goes on to describe how fairs are the new way to discover artists and that the critics need to get onboard. Hello Peoples- So Artforum paid a visit to OC. Boring. Although this comment did stand out: I sat next to an elderly collector who wore the black pants suit and oversized Italian sunglasses representative of her breed.
