Went to the Brea Gallery tonight to catch the opening of the Mediums show curated by Travis Collinson. The show is solid so if you have a chance go support your local scene. Details follow: Noah Thomas-Veneer Veneer, a mixed media and sound installation by Noah Thomas transforms the Office, altering the gallery so that the viewer is challenged to consider how they encounter interior space. Walls curve in to meet the viewer, the floor buckles under their feet, wooden sculptures protrude from the walls and floor. After a several weekends of doing everything but looking at art, Mrs. OC Art Blog and I made up for it this weekend.
