07 Jun LA Biennial @ OCMA via ABLA
Caryn at ABLA thinks that OCMA should host an LA Now show:
I was on the Orange County Museum of Art’s website last week and noticed that their next Califorina Biennial is scheduled for October 2006. It got me thinking that perhaps this would be the chance we’ve been looking — encourage an institution who already has an exhibition in place to step it up a notch. The OCMA has had particularly strong programming lately and something of an Los Angeles "right now" focused show would fit there. Really, we all know that Orange County is not too far away and if the others won’t get the ball rolling, it might be wise to work with a place who will.
Unfortunately OCMA’s California Biennial already is a Los Angeles Now show….because they sure don’t show anybody from Orange County or San Diego when it comes to town.

Posted at 15:37h, 07 JuneThanks Mr. OC! But, as per the title of my post, I think it should be a Southern California Biennial, not just Los Angeles. OC and LA unite!
