Must see, Gary Simpson’s Common Ground 191 at the Wells Fargo Bank. Simpson shows his global project where he is collecting, with permission of the USDOA, soil from 191 UN countries to put together in a 196 panel sculpture.
The exhibition shows the various soils — gray, brown, tan, red, pink, and greenish – as well as 14 panels, photographs, maps and lots of other displays that show that human beings are drawn together by a common ground, the earth we stand, live, and die on.
Simpson’s art will be show in October at Space on Spurgeon in Santa Ana, until the end of December
