Every Friday I look forward to the new edition of Blue States Lose on Gawker. Why? Because making fun of Hipsters is great fun. But for karmic reasons I feel it’s my duty to make sure all you local hipsters don’t make some of the same mistakes your east coast breathen are making. So as a Public Service Announcement I will occasionally be posting an IN & Out section just to keep you up to date on what’s hot and what’s not. With no further ado:

Fixed_gear The fixed gear bike or for the less talented riders….your basic old school ten speed. It’s the hot accessory.

OUT – The GI Cap. It’s reached Trucker Cap status. Done.

    Now I have to throw away my hat. Maybe I will sell it and reinvest into a bike.

    I think “hunting” themed hats will replace the army hat, and IMHO, Fixed gear bikes have been tired since 2002.

    Yeah, those hats are still rad if you’re not a housewife that wears the one with velcro in the back. When Hot Topic started selling the Fall Out Boy model fixie it was all over. I’m sad about it too. I mean I made a fixie like 2 years ago and I still love it, but yeah it’s over. More over than “what’s over” blogs. 😉
