- “We never pay a cent until we see the final product.”
- “Do this for us and you’ll get great exposure! The jobs will just pour in!”
- On looking at sketches or concepts: “Well, we aren’t sure if we
want to use you yet, but leave your material here so I can talk to my
partner/investor/wife/clergy.” - “Well, the job isn’t CANCELLED, just delayed. Keep the account open and we’ll continue in a month or two.”
- “Contract? We don’t need no stinking contact! Aren’t we friends?”
- “Send me a bill after the work goes to press.”
- “The last guy did it for XXX dollars.”
- “Our budget is XXX dollars, firm.

Orange County
Posted at 22:55h, 03 FebruaryI work as a designer for graphics and I have heard all these excuses. The worst is when I was working in Orange County for this graphic company. Right now I am working with a new company that does bail bonds and they dont give me that lip. http://www.bailbondsorangecounty.net/ – check out my graphic design. Thanks!

Posted at 18:57h, 01 AprilYeah…I can’t believe how some people will take advantage of an artist who just wants trust those who say they are interested in their work. Makes me mad 🙁
Many non creative people have no idea how much goes into a work of art and don’t really value it for what it is really worth.
