Last year when we participated in artLA we had a booth next to Paul Kopeikin Gallery. So we got to spend the better part of the weekend hanging out with Paul. Both Mrs. OCArtBlog and I found him to be very friendly and funny. Unlike some insecure gallery people who will remain nameless. This Saturday night is the Opening party for the John Waters:Change of Life show that will run through Jan. 15th at OCMA. The party starts 8pm and costs $10 if you are not a member. Mrs. OCArtBlog has decided it's time to get some new bedroom furniture (we have none) so this weekend I was required to do my husbandly duty and follow her around various furniture stores. Attended the Laguna Art Museum Annual Auction tonight and had a great time. It's always fun to watch the bidding wars. We won two out of the five or so we were in. We were happy to get the Mark Dutcher piece we had to have and the Leigh Peffer photograph we wanted. Fun was had by all.
