Well folks, It's time for another opening at The Office. I hope to see you this Saturday from 6-9pm. Details follow: Noah Thomas-Veneer Veneer, a mixed media and sound installation by Noah Thomas transforms the Office, altering the gallery so that the viewer is challenged to consider how they encounter interior space. Walls curve in to meet the viewer, the floor buckles under their feet, wooden sculptures protrude from the walls and floor. As a visitor you'll explore scale shifts in abstracted architectural and landscape models....

I wanted to notify you all about an opening this Friday at a space I have yet to visit. It seems curator Travis Collinson is stepping up the programming over at the Brea Gallery. This Friday the gallery opens Mediums: A Survey of Emerging Trends in Art. A show that will feature many of our local emerging artists including: Ruben Ochoa, Carlee Fernandez, Tyler Stallings, Deborah Aschheim, Shirley Tse and many others. After a several weekends of doing everything but looking at art, Mrs. OC Art Blog and I made up for it this weekend. We put a few miles on the car traveling to LA on Saturday night to see the 50/50 show at Gallery 825 and the Eduardo Sarabia show at 4-F Gallery in Chinatown (the porcelain work is great).
